SONA (State of the Nation Address) is one of
the most important and most significant events of happening in our country. The
SONA is the instrument to bestow or confer what he/she are going to do in
his/her administration. The one who speaks in this SONA is the new elected
president. Why is it important and significant? It is important and significant
because it explains and discuss about what he/she has done and finished
already, what he/she can promise and at the same time, what he/she will work for
and what he/she will serve to us and most of all, if what are the
major problems or problem in our country.
In the SONA of President Benigno
"Noynoy" Cojuangco Aquino III, he has been removed the "wang-wang," he
has been helped our poor, meager and indigent brothers and sisters particularly
their material possessions and needs, but not all. To the major or the greatest
problem of our country, i think its "POVERTY."What
is poverty? Poverty is a denial of choices and opportunities, a violation of
human dignity. It means lack of basic capacity to participate effectively in
society. It means not having enough to feed and clothe a family, not having a
school or clinic to go to; not having the land on which to grow one’s food or a
job to earn one’s living, not having access to credit. It means insecurity,
powerlessness and exclusion of individuals, households and communities. There
are so many Filipinos suffering from poverty. Because of poverty, they
can't even eat their meals in a day. Because of poverty, they commit crimes.
Because of poverty, they're not going to school every day. And because of
poverty, the number of deaths in our country increases every year.
We are longing, we are looking, we are hoping,
we are anticipating having a better administration. We want change, we want
that corruption will be depart and exterminate. We want an improvement, we want
a better country and we want to have a good, brilliant, lucid and bright
future.
